Music Together Certification Level I
Rachel creates a fun, informal, social setting that spurs engagement and supports each child's musical development.
She was first introduced to Music Together in 2012 when she took her oldest daughter, Freda to a class. She found herself having so much fun and fell in love with the program's natural introduction to music and has enjoyed classes with both her children since Alice started attending at just 7 days old! Rachel has been a registered Music Together Teacher since Spring 2014. In Autumn 2017, the Center for Music and Young Children in Princeton, NJ awarded Rachel with Music Together Certification Level I status for outstanding achievement in teaching, musicianship, program philosophy and parent education.
Rachel loves working with children and music is a big part of her life. Through primary school she enjoyed learning recorder and organ and in her teens she participated in theatre productions and musicals. Later she found swing dancing and fell in love with jazz music from the 30s & 40s. She enjoyed social dancing, but absolutely adored performing with the not-for-profit amateur team - Hullabaloo Hoppers.

Rachel has always been found caring for children – including many hours of babysitting, over 5 years assisting in Montessori classrooms, volunteering at Interactive Adventures week long camps, playgroup leader, parent and now Music Together Teacher!
Mother to two amazing girls, music is now every day - making up silly songs, humming along to the radio, drumming on the steering wheel, dancing in the kitchen and of course lullabies.
Rachel is passionate about fostering a love of music in children and their families and loves sharing in the joy that family music-making can bring.
